Here are the latest race results and standings.

The MDRA has added Helmet Cam footage on YouTube and embedded it on the MDRA website.
Full off road trip details including GPS trail path, altitude, and distance details as well as written descriptions and YouTube videos showing the terrain and obstacles are now available on the MDRA website. The first one to be added is from a trip taken last weekend. Click here to see the page.
Currently helmet cam footage is only available for off-road rides. If anyone is interested in embedding their helmet cam footage on the MDRA website contact luc@mdramx.com.

Announcing the Send Scott to Baja Series!

Several events have been scheduled, designed to prepare Scott for the Tecate Score Baja 1000. The events are endurance events designed to develop stamina and endurance by riding for long periods of time without stopping. More details to come on event format. Suggestions are welcome! Click the poster below for dates.  The dates have also been inserted in the MDRA Calendar of Events.

I hope you have been watching supercross and been getting an itch to ride!  If the weather keeps going like the forecast looks, we could be riding sooner than normal.
 
Just a few updates.  Our local race schedule and the provincial MX and offroad events are on the web site.  Check it out.
 
Juanita Borle has volunteered to be secretary. Thank you Juanita!  No one came forward at the AGM for that position, so I was given the go ahead to find someone.  Speaking of the AGM, I will have the minutes on the web site by the end of the weekend.  I will also put up a package that will outline sponsorship opportunities.  I meant to have both of these done by now but am running a little behind.
 
Volunteer opportunities:  We are going to need to service the tractor with an oil change and figure out how to fix the power steering leak.  The discer needs to be taken apart and pieces replaced or taken for repair.  The trailer by the trees needs to be gotten rid of.  If anyone can think of someone that will take it that is great, otherwise I think we will have a demolition day.
 
Last item.  For all of the provincial MX races we have a good group of riders going.  I would like to go as a race team.  Have our own pit area and put up some banners.  I'm sure we can even get some sponsorship help.  Who wants to be involved?  So I can look at costs to give to sponsors.  What do you want to call the team?  I was thinking of Highway 63 Racing, for the highway we travel down to get to all the races.  I think someone can come up with something better.  We'll need a logo too.

The initial calendar of events has been posted. All local and provincial motocross races have been added. As well, for the off-roaders among us, all harescrambles and cross country races have been posted as well. This way you can really pack your schedule up this summer! Go to Calendar of Events on the left to view the events. Click "List" to see a list of the events without having to go through month by month.

The time has come! The McMurray Dirt Riders Association is having its 2010 Annual General Meeting. This meeting is an important gathering where members can vote on important club issues, as well as elect the year's executive. It also opens up an opportunity to discuss any ideas, issues or concerns that anyone may have about the club. This year's meeting will be held at the Bob Lamb Centre, Room 234, on February 2nd, 2010 at 7:00PM. Hope to see you all there!

The MDRA Banquet will be held on October 23rd at the Frank Lacroix Arena in Beacon Hill. Start showing up at 6:00PM and we will start eating at 7:00PM.  Awards and recognition will be handed out after dinner. For more information contact Scott at scott@mdramx.com.
